We have introduced the following new event codes, the purpose and resolution to receiving one of these alerts is defined below.
Capture Failure - CAF - E171
The capture failure event is generated when the edge device loses connection or detects a problem with the connection to one or more of the RTSP streams from the DVR / NVR or Camera.
To Resolve :
Check the connection from the network to the DVR/NVR Recorder.
Focus Failure - FOF -E172
A focus failure event is generated when the prediction process fails , this is usually due to resource constraints ie. High CPU usage , High Temperate, no disk space etc.
This event type should be reported to Avlytics support team to investigate.
To Resolve :
Check the device's resource usage with /status on the device's Telegram Info group.
Alert Failure - ALF - E173
An alert failure message is generated when the device fails to connect to the cloud communication platform.
This generally indicates an internet or network related issue.
To Resolve :
Download and run a WinMTR tester from the site to google.com
Run three consecutive speedtest's from the Site and note the download speed , Jitter and Millisecond response time.
Out Of Spec - OOS - E174
Each of the Avlytics device's has a specification.
For example , The AVT-308PS or 8 Channel BRT is an 8 Channel device that supports the following stream configurations.
Each camera that is added to this device must be set to CIF Resolution and 6 Frames per Second.
The out of spec notification alerts the control room if the camera stream changes at any point , and this is if the stream config changes to a configuration that is not supported by the device.
If for instance a user connects to the DVR or NVR via Mobile app and changes the substream config to VGA Resolution and 25 FPS , an alert will be generated and sent to the control room, as this channel will no longer be analysed. This is a HIGH priority alert.
To Resolve :
Check the dvr and camera configuration and ensure that the substream is set to CIF resolution and 6 Frames per second.
